LIFETIME WARRANTY

Dear Customer,

We are pleased to offer you the option to purchase a Lifetime Warranty for your CZARD timepiece.

This warranty covers the watch movement for the lifetime of the watch and reflects our commitment to creating timepieces designed for enduring use.

The Lifetime Warranty is an optional, separately purchased service and is not automatically included with every watch. The applicable price will be displayed on the relevant product page at the time of purchase.

Lifetime Service Warranty on the Watch Movement

Under the Lifetime Warranty, CZARD will service movement-related issues for the lifetime of the watch, provided that the timepiece has:

  • been used under normal conditions;

  • been operated in accordance with CZARD’s care instructions;

  • not been opened, repaired, modified or serviced by an unauthorised third party; and

  • not been subjected to misuse, accidental damage or neglect.

The Lifetime Warranty applies only to the internal watch movement and does not cover external components or cosmetic damage unless expressly stated otherwise.

Logistics and Shipping Charges

During the initial twelve-month period from the date of purchase, movement-related servicing and applicable logistics will be provided in accordance with the standard warranty terms applicable to the watch.

Once the initial twelve-month period has expired, the customer will be responsible for the applicable one-way shipping or logistics charges required to send or return the watch for servicing.

Any international shipping charges, customs duties, import taxes or related charges arising from a warranty or service request will be borne by the customer.

Water Resistance

CZARD watches are water-resistant, not waterproof.

Water resistance is not covered under warranty unless expressly stated for the relevant watch model and the issue is confirmed to have resulted from a manufacturing defect.

For watches rated at 5 ATM:

  • the watch is resistant to light splashes and brief exposure to rain;

  • it should not be submerged in water;

  • it should not be worn while swimming, bathing or showering;

  • it should not be used in a sauna, steam room or similar high-temperature environment; and

  • the crown and pushers should not be operated while the watch is wet.

Water resistance may reduce over time due to ageing of seals, impact, temperature changes, improper crown use or unauthorised opening of the watch.

Periodic water-resistance testing and replacement of seals may therefore be required and may be chargeable.

Exclusions

The Lifetime Warranty does not cover:

  • accidental damage;

  • impact, crushing or drop damage;

  • misuse or mishandling;

  • damage caused by improper use or neglect;

  • normal wear and tear;

  • cosmetic scratches, marks or deterioration;

  • damage to the case, crystal, exhibition caseback, crown, pushers, hands, dial, indices, bracelet, strap or clasp;

  • battery replacement, where applicable;

  • damage caused by magnetism, moisture, chemicals or extreme temperatures;

  • water damage caused by use beyond the stated water-resistance rating;

  • damage caused by operating the crown or pushers while the watch is wet;

  • theft or loss;

  • unauthorised repairs, opening, modification or servicing; or

  • any damage resulting from failure to follow CZARD’s care instructions.

Bracelet resizing performed by a competent third party will not, by itself, void the movement warranty.

However, any unauthorised opening, repair, servicing or modification of the watch may affect or void the warranty.

Warranty Assessment

All Lifetime Warranty claims are subject to inspection and verification by CZARD or an authorised service partner.

CZARD may request:

  • the original invoice or proof of purchase;

  • confirmation that the Lifetime Warranty was purchased;

  • the watch model and serial number;

  • photographs or videos of the watch;

  • a description of the issue; and

  • any other information reasonably required to assess the claim.

Where an issue falls outside the Lifetime Warranty, CZARD may offer a chargeable repair or replacement service. The applicable charges will be communicated before any paid work is undertaken.

Transferability

The Lifetime Warranty applies to the watch for which it was originally purchased.

Any transferability to a subsequent owner will be subject to the original proof of purchase, warranty registration and any other verification requirements imposed by CZARD.
